Flossy & Toothy Save Your Smile by Melissa Larsen takes children on a journey that makes caring for teeth loads of fun, while developing the habits that will save smiles! A wonderful cavity prevention book.
Melissa Larsen lives in Keller, Texas with her husband and their four kids. They are a home school family who takes every opportunity to travel and experience life in different surroundings. She gets inspiration for her stories from watching her kids and listening to the stories they tell each other.
Melissa’s husband, Dr. Michael Larsen, is an endodontic specialist and member of the American Association of Endodontists. He has devoted his life to saving teeth after they have been injured by decay (dental caries) or trauma with professional training in surgical and nonsurgical endodontic (root canal) treatment. Dr. Larsen promotes his wife’s book on cavity prevention, “Flossy & Toothy Save Your Smile” to help prevent caries in children that could result in Root Canal Treatment For Children.
Young children can lose primary (baby) teeth and even immature permanent teeth when the pulp, the living tissue inside a tooth, becomes infected. This is often the result of trauma or dental caries (tooth decay) and creates a special problem for the child. Root canal treatment to prevent dental extraction when the dental pulp becomes injured is one of the most common dental procedures performed that can save natural teeth.
