Jason M. Michel, DDS – Biography
Dr. Jason M. Michel was born in Kansas City, Missouri, but much of his childhood was spent living overseas. Dr. Michel lived in Saudi Arabia, 9.5 yrs, and Guam, 2.5 yrs. He then returned to Kansas City to finish high school. After high school, he jumped right into a combined 6-year program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, earning a B.A. degree in Biology and my Doctor of Dental Science. He joined the US Army right after graduating dental school and served as a general dentist for the 2BDE, 4th Infantry Division for four years. After returning from a year deployment in Iraq (Nov 05-06), Dr. Michel moved to Fort Gordon, Georgia, where he obtained his certification in Endodontics (’09); then, he returned to Fort Hood, Texas, to serve for three years as a clinical endodontist and serve as the Chief of Endodontics for the US Army’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry program before leaving the military. Dr. Michel has been a private practicing endodontist in Texarkana since 2012. “My wife, Samantha, and daughter, Savannah, have been calling Texarkana home and are excited to explore a new chapter in our life as we move to the DFW area and become part of the Southlake Endodontics family.”
